I had 2 front teeth knocked out years back playing rugby, so now wear dentures - which are a pain tbh
Really need to get 2 dental implants, but will freely admit i am a dental coward ( give me a boxing ring or a rugby ball im happy lol), but i really need to get this done
I need someone to convince me there is no pain and its well worth doing |

Afraid not, I lost my 4 front teeth to a cricket ball. When it came to implants I was in the chair for 2 hours and it felt like the dentist was trying to drill out of the top of my head.
It was all so worth the pain and expense. I put it off for a while, just wish I’d done it sooner |

I cant promise no pain afterwards, as youd expect the site where they have inserted the metal fitting is sore for some time
But the actual procedure wasnt painful after the initial needle to numb the area, lots of pressure and not comfortable certainly but no pain
As with all things like this, research who you are choosing 😊 |

I’ve got two implants, it’s not a particularly pleasant experience and not pain free, but overall not that bad and totally worth it for the end result. Just expect several visits though, it’s a long process to get it right |

I've a broken tooth root from being punched when I was a teenager, it's been treated since but it's fair certain it'll go one day. I know this will be my only option so kind of dreading it I'm fairly phobic of dentists too |

OP,
Are your teeth completely gone - ie knocked out or really badly broken?
I had very badly broken front teeth, essentially just part of the front of each tooth left.
Instead of implants they built new teeth using polymer - it was much cheaper and only took a couple of hours without.
Three year later, I am still really pleased with them. You cannot tell they are not my original teeth. |

I've never had dental implants but dental work I find pretty painful.
I've had wisdom teeth removed (horrific), I've had braces etc.
It was all worth it though.
Soluble paracetamol and codeine are the best for tooth pain I have found. |
