If I want to taste charcoal I'll just lick the fireplace.
Such a lot of effort for kinda poor food.
No I don't enjoy nandos either.
I do like bbq foods that aren't charred but Jim in the backgarden isn't gonna be on the same level as melt in the mouth slow roasted brisket or the like from the oven or a professional bbq restaurant. |

Not too bothered for grilling
But low and slow, nicely smoked, melt in the mouth beef, lamb and chicken...
Lovely
Also perfected the smash burger on my griddle
If I had to choose my favourite BBQ would be a 6/7 hour smoked Beef ribs 😍 |

I agree with previous poster… such a lot of faff, prep and washing up… BUT, when I can be arsed if I have my son home or family and friends round, then I make my own burgers, make some chicken shish and veg skewers and go to the international supermarket and get some Turkish Sucuk sausages (they are delish).

As long as someone else is doing all the work, good quality hot dogs and burgers. Choice of sauces and relishes. Maybe a corn on the cob. Flame grilled pineapple for the burgers.
And a shady seat to eat it in, can’t stand eating while standing up. And maybe a delightful totty to chat to. |
