Sometimes we get a picture of ourselves where we can’t quite believe it’s us. Set your profile pic to your catfishiest photo (that you’re prepared to share). The uncropped version of mine is on friends. No, I don’t look like that. At least I don’t think I do.

Agree. I don't use photo filters, but yes Its a sexier version of ourselves. I only wear lingerie to post photos here. My profile says “I don't recognise myself” and it's true, in a good way.

I am convinced the “selfie” camera is always much more flattering than the “out” cameras. My photos are always crap with those 😂😂😂
But having said that, I can’t honestly find a photo that isn’t a real image of me. I have made a point of setting to private all those where I was slimmer 🤷♀️ for me it’s important to show exactly how I look. Will have another look in the morning! |

This is a very interesting thread . I play about with colour and exposure settings in m pics and the one I have set for this thread is a weird one!
I think I have quite a big nose but in this pic it is not noticeable
I think because the pic is over exposed the line of my nose disappears and it looks really small
It doesn’t really look like me
Also my eyes look really dark brown and they are a very blue grey !

I hate selfies, so I think all of my photos look worse than I do in person. If I could do one where I can make my stomach flat, show the abs I had when I was 20 and the impressive pecs from then, then I would be catfishes. In the meantime it is a dad bod til I get back to some physical exercise (other than walking the dog). |

I've put this one up because when I uploaded it I got a few random 'how big is it?' messages. It's average, just a good angle.
Could have easily used one of the pics where I look slightly ripped, it's just very good lighting. My chest and shoulders look pretty much like they generally do in this one. |

Generally, men are bad at taking/filtering catfishing photos, so my experience is the opposite. In person, they are so much better than their pics. Except for the guys posting pics they took 20 years ago. In that case, the outcome is the same. Better in person because I prefer mature guys.  |

I only ever see the bad bits of me so once I change the angles and crop out the bits I hate I'm ok with the pictures. I guess that's catfishing in a way. But when someone is pressed up against you maybe the bad bits are less noticeable 🤪 |

My catfishiest photo is one an ex took. Don't know how it happened, zero filters etc but I look like a smitten Disney princess.
All of my photos are to a certain degree. Right now, because I'm refusing to take more until I hit my final target. And then there are angles and lingerie and black and white... if I'm genuinely interested in someone they'll see full me, makeup free face, wobbles and all so I don't feel too bad about that. |

I suppose we all like to portray our best selves - why wouldn't you? I carefully curate almost all of my pics for angle, pose, clothing and facial expression (I don't smile as much as a rule, but then - I'm told - I look like a serial killer). But it's still me. I sometimes can't believe thay it is, but there you are.
As long as you are genuine and honest in your dealings with people, and manage realistic expectations (some guys seem to think I always look like this, and I tell them they really don't want to wake up to me in the morning 😳), then it's fine. 😁
