Why are we humans so embarresed when we fart? I mean we don't get embarresed when we sneeze, both are natural. Do other creatures get embarrased? Obviously not. I'd just come out the swimming baths and walking out via the reception came a huge fart, unbeknownst to me a girl was behind the counter and she heard me loud and clear, honestly I was so embarrased, my face all red, acting all innocent, I was like 'oooh where did that come from'? |

"An answer to alot.of things
The Victorians have a lot to answer for in this country
Really? Why? "
Reserve, proper behaviour (*spit*) correct moral standards. Counter reaction to the perceived excess of the regency.
Even furniture wasn't allowed to show it's ankles!
Lots of that behaviour we see persist into the new century, some really outdated thinking that are fundamental conservativism social attitudes.
Why do you get periods like the 20s where a generation rebels against stuffy conservative societal norms? Because as a country that's the way we're still brought up and it persists as some sort of genetic memory benchmark and it's all bloody Vickie's fault |

To be fair spitting is very anti-social and it spreads germs. |

"Probably something to do with the expulsion of fecal matter that happens when you do.
I find it disgusting. Don't fart anywhere near me. I don't care if your stomach hurts. "
Where I was born and raised we didn't have a Victoria Queen, but it's considered disgusting too. How come? |

Yeah but where does it end? Plenty of things are natural but we keep certain things private.
Expulsion of gas from a persons arse is normally very smelly hence why it’s not polite to do it in public.
Not sure why someone wouldn’t understand that. |

A mate of mine has no issues in farting, normally quite loudly, in public. It can be a bit embarrassing at times, but sometimes it's also quite funny depending on the situation. I also try and guess what he had for his tea the night before, I've got the nose to determine between a chilli con carne and a KFC bargain bucket meal. 👃🏼 |
