Both sports have some mighty fine specimens. Rugby men probably taller and stronger in general and rugby culture is generally much more appealing. Women's flavours of the sports? Football hands down. |

Hardly anybody gives a toss about rugby really. Plenty will extol its virtues when the big tournaments are in play but few care enough to go and watch it every week.
English football's second division ,(Championship) is the 4th best supported league in Europe.
Rugby's great in its own right. But let's not pretend it comes anywhere near football for passion and excitement. |

I've watched Rugby and American Football. I prefer Rugby. Easy to understand and follow. AF is over the top with the entertainment, there's too much going on, nobody knows what's happening, loads of stoppages. Difficult to follow. |
