Some folk at work were discussing these the other day and I thought they at the wind up until I googled them.
Anybody remember watching them? There was apparently a big tabloid fuss about them - were they raunchy? Genuinely arousing? Get you through a lonely teenage night? Or arthouse guff? |

You might get a full naked shot of a woman but if I remember they weren’t that sexy. Although I spent most of the 80s pilled up or in a bottle of southern comfort. |

Mainly continental soft core but very engaging all the same. Although porn videos were fairly readily available i always found something just as sexy in these where was more about build up and some titillating sex |

Ah, the 80s. Yeah, those films were an important part of teenage life.
Channel 4 seemed to have an inexhaustible supply of French/European arthouse movies. Rather shamefully, the “arthouse” side of things seemed to pass me by at that time - I was totally focused on the fact that you were pretty much guaranteed a quick bit of nudity, at the very least!
Growing up in Wales, there was an added bonus - the new S4C channel would repeat a lot of C4 shows a few days later, including all the films. I well remember watching many films, that seemed to just be French people wandering around philosophising on life, for a second time thinking - “there’s a glimpse of bush (no shaving in those films!) about 53 minutes in”  . |

Oh yes I remember these films well.
I used to video recording them to play back at my leisure. As the not out gay man these films were an opportunity to see some dick on TV.
The red triangle film Sebastiane was full of naked men from beginning to end -my pause button came in very handy! |
