"Why is it so hard to sleep? "
I work nights. I got up about 11AM on Friday and worked overnight. I was awake until about 9PM Saturday night. I slept like a baby for FOUR FULL hours and now I’m wide awake again |

"It can be some nights particularly when had a few drinks and too much caffeine,.which keeps me awake but has bonus of making me feel very naughty "
I finish work at 3 AM. When I get home I make a strong black coffee and I’m asleep by 4. I don’t put TV on as I prefer to read. I’ll then wake up about 10.30 |

"I'm a terrible sleeper. Just learned to live with a few hours and naps when I can "
That’s all well and good but today is
Take 4 grandchildren out for a few hours.
Take mother in law out for lunch
Go out ourselves to eat
Probably back to bed about 11.
So in 60 hours I’ll get 4 hours sleep.
Off to Greece tomorrow though so I can chill a bit then. |

"I have no trouble getting to sleep but I do wake up in the early hours and can't get back off to sleep"
That’s the worst. I’m staying at my partners and I leave the bed and come downstairs rather than toss and turn all night.
Does it leave you weary during the day? |

My thoughts exactly I hate laying in bed when it's so light and warm out. Agree early mornings are grear, nice long dog walk sets me up for the day. |

20 years of shift work, the last 6 of which have been day and night shifts. I don’t have a sleep pattern anymore, more of a sleep when I can for as long as I can.
On my days off I’m often awake at 5-6am and usually get up and make a brew, rather than just laying awake in bed, scrolling through my phone |

Another morning person here. I wake naturally around 5ish every day no matter the time I went to bed.
The joys of summer means you can sit outside with a coffee and just chill before the rest of world wakes up. Bliss. |
