In the process of making something for someone famous, its nice to know something you've made is going to be in there house and appreciated. Has anyone else made anything for someone famous? Ill never get to meet them but nice to tell people ive made something for them and they appreciate my work as much as I do there work. Mad for it |

My grandfather made a number of large furniture pieces that are on display in public buildings.
Some were projects from his time at training college in the 1920s and others were commissioned during the 20s and 30s.
They have been seen by tens of thousands of people over the last 100 years and are mentioned as part of the guided tours.
A few local celebrities have commented on the craftsmanship and posted pics on Facebook over the years.
I wasn't aware that he was discussed as part of the tours until during covid lockdown when the local historical group wrote a piece that was published on social media platforms and in a hard copy booklet.
They gave a very detailed background history of this mysterious craftsman and how he had made his fortune.
I had to ask them to remove their story as it was a complete fabrication. Not a single word of it was true and he wasn't even mysterious as he literally lived in the house next door to one of the buildings where his creations are on display.
