So - farewell & THANKS Marco Silva.
Five great years at Fulham. A magnificent Championship win in 2021-22, it was clear early that FFC were best team in the division that year, never in realistic danger of the drop over the last four years, some decent enough Cup runs....but, a little stale over the last few months, the "feeling" change was needed hung over the tail end of the season.
Now the trepidation bit, the hope the club have done their research correctly, and the right appointment is made. Wrong bloke comes in, and it can all go tits up inside a couple of months.
A football manager staying in post five years is an incredible achievement these days, and the timing of the change is probably right all round. Certainly can't deny MS the opportunity to manage one of the biggest clubs in his home country. |
