"5 guys is always good "
Agreed. Probably not the first or last time that someone has praised having 5 Guys on this site....😜 but they really are different class.
Only downside is the kidney you have to sell to afford one. |

"I like to get burgers from a good butchers, as the meat tends to be of a higher quality "
When I worked at the butchers in my teens, they used to be all the crap and trimmings. I convinced him to let me try using decent stuff and my own seasoning. Within weeks word got round and it was hard to keep up with demand. Just a word of caution make sure your butcher is a good one. |

I'm not really a beef burger person but I love a good chicken burger.
Popeyes is far better than KFC if we are talking chain fast food. I still need to try the Dave's Hot Chicken in Manchester.
Locally, Burgerism are pretty good. Yard and Coop do excellent chicken burgers and fried chicken in general. Kongs Kitchen's chicken burgers in the Northern Quarter are also epic. There was a place near me called Zaxxx who did good chicken burgers but it recently shut down 😢 |

"Bleecker. With a cherry milkshake.
"
I agree with Meli. But I can love without the milkshake).
Also love an Honest or 5Guys which there are more of/easier to find.
Two places I really want to try: Dumbo and Black Bear. Both supposed to be amazing... |

Out of the chains, it's Five Guys and it's not even close. But there are a few North East places I've been to that are better (assume there will be everywhere) - I'd highly recommend anyone in Newcastle after a burger to look at Meat Stack, Brack Burger and Fat Hippo |

"5 guys and if you order fries with it they give you a hell if a lot of them. "
Fries could feed a 3rd world country
The one thing I have found out… if you are on a diet or calorie counting, actually not that many calories in five guys burgers.. if you leave off the cheese
Even better if you have the lettuce wraps!
Also… never have five guys fries again… about 1800 calories in the “large” |

I’ve not had the lettuce wraps but that actually sounds really nice. I prefer no cheese, just burger and pickles ..and loads of fries |
