Men on Fab, don't feel Jealous because our Inbox is full.
Only a small part of it seems genuine and sounds interesting.
40% of the texts that women got here, are a “hey you/heya” two-word message from blank profiles, with a sad dick pic attached.
The other 40%, consists of other types of copy-paste msgs.
How do we recognise them?
Firstly, during the first week I signed up here I got hundreds of “I love your profile/your pics”, but I hadn't had the time to fill it, let alone to post any pics. It was the first sign of the widely used copy-paste behaviour.
Please feel free to share your spam detector settings. I will share mine through the thread

Usually I just delete messages unread but when I do open someone's and I can see that he's sent the same message every few days for 4 weeks? Give a different approach a try maybe. |

I have several message threads where I've noticed it's the same cut and paste message every few weeks.
I've started to give the exact same response as the previous times, and lo and behold, they respond the exact same way. So, amusingly, the whole thread looks like it's been cut and pasted several times.
I like to see at what point they'll deviate from their pre-programmed response behaviour.
Tickles me, anyway.

When a single guy asks if you want to meet his wife / girlfriend etc, but there is no mention of them in the profile.
People with shadow profiles or just genital pics asking if you have more pics to share when you have multiple on your profile.
Cut and paste messages.

A message is a message, shouldn't matter how the first one begins, if you like the look of the profile then message back and goe from there, so what if the first one is a copy and paste😂 thats just total judgement without giving them a chance, fab snobbery.
Makes me laugh...after a few messages you'll work out if its a fake or not for you.
Sometimes people need a reply to get their messaging communication on a flow.

As well as the over bland can send to everyone option, I'm also very aware of the overly polished, unnaturally polite, slightly 'challenging' and excessively specific to your profile details that indicates they've fed my profile to an AI and copy and pasted the suggested opening message 💜 |

Mate, if you'd read our profile you'd know that you're not what we're looking for!

When you have already spoke and explained you not interested but the following week you get a wink… when asked why they winked us they said it was to show they are interested. We remind them politely we literally had this conversation last week and we are still very much not interested and then block. Only way to stop repeat offenders unless they create another account. |

i use tineye on profile pictures.
if they fake i message them with proof of the tineye link and report to admin.
sadly i see the same profiles with the same fake pics about 3 days later. in fact i dont think they get removed or blocked, just the sites a.i. blocking you from them for reporting.
they could i.p. block but the same fake profiles being set up in there hundreds return days later with new names but same old pics. |

Yes, full of Spam. It's a problem because it conceals the genuine ones. Messages disappear if you take more than a week to open them. You can get one thousand messages but only able to check the last ones on your screen. Spammers make it very difficult to find what you are looking for. |

Many fakes, delusional and time wasters are lazy.
We ask that folks read our profile, we use this as a filter, we also look at the effort they have put into their profile.
Just like their lazy message, their profile tend to ge lazy too.
They get easier and easier to spot.
Over a year on site, no verifications, still waiting to update, green arrow show throwing blame onto others.
Not just men.
Women are just as bad, if not worse, but the sheer percentage of men can give a bias.
Its all so sad but not unexpected.
Having said all this. There is a huge cohort of genuine, lovely people on here but they tend to be a silent majority.

If it’s obvious spam like all stated above, I just delete without even opening the message. You get a pretty good flavour of the message on the first line showing on your inbox.
From there, if I like the photo thumbnail I will open the message.
If I like the photo and message? I reply. And even then 90% of chats fizzle out within hours if not minutes.

Yet the OP stated earlier that introducing ourselves is a ‘no no’ and also being intrigued by a profile (or actually saying it) is also a ‘no no’. So if someone read this thread and took it all onboard it’s pretty much left with delivering a whimsical story of that in our mid life weve never told anyone else because we have to be original. Yet it can’t describe ourselves or show an interest in who we message 😂😂
This thread is exactly why I stopped coming on forums. Guys hardly have messages read so it’s no surprise some take a generic approach initially to see if it sparks a conversation. |

"60% of the messages we get are vapid fuck boys with just "hey" or some crude messages with no attempts to introduce themselves or make an intelligent conversation. Yet the OP stated earlier that introducing ourselves is a ‘no no’ and also being intrigued by a profile (or actually saying it) is also a ‘no no’. So if someone read this thread and took it all onboard it’s pretty much left with delivering a whimsical story of that in our mid life weve never told anyone else because we have to be original. Yet it can’t describe ourselves or show an interest in who we message 😂😂

I didn't say men cant introduce themselves. Crazy. Of course they can do whatever they want. Nobody asked they can't use the word “intrigued” Who said that exactly? It's difficult to spot every spam message, just joking some of them are very obvious with humour. Spam messages have stopped me from checking messages. It's a shame but who cares except me? We are not showing off our inboxes are full of spam, why, it's nonsense. |

Both your posts, amongst many others, yet even guys who try to be original, relate to the profile they are messaging also get left unread or deleted for a myriad of perfectly normal reasons. There is no right and wrong, what you see as spam could be a guy just trying to spark conversation and after being left unread by lots of others has grown tired of the bespoke approach so tried something else. |

You don't understand. Its the same message once again. It's spam. For months. We are talking about repetitive copy-paste machinery, we are not laughing about a single man sending a nice message. This is the reason I hide my profile when I'm on the forums, you tend to get more messages.
Now, I don't mind getting messages at all, I've only ever got them from men but one time some young lad about 21 messaged me wanting a threesome with him and his 19 year old gf. It was a single male account not a couples account and he was trying to get me to go onto another app etc.
Obviously I didn't fall for it but just can't be bothered with things like that.

Thats not how you started this though, you stated 40% of your messages as spam, then go onto list what you consider spam and then oddly denied saying the exact things you questioned me about😂.
