Ways to get verified:
1. Go to a club. It's scary, it's expensive, you need to follow the rules (right night, right dress). However, if you show up, behave like a decent human being, and ask (including staff members) you'll get a verification.
2. A group social. Lower cost, but you need to be invited, which can be difficult if you're not verified. Behave normally and ask.
3. Go into the chat rooms and get on cam. Quick, easy, free. Note that some people don't regard cam verifications as good enough.
