What’s that drink that you can’t face any more? And why?
Mine is schnapps, cricket club presentation night me and some mates went hard on the schnapps shots and I was ill for 3 days, couldn’t keep food down for 24 hours 🤢 |

I’m not a fan of Gin either. But there is an Orange Marmalade Gin that you mix with ginger ale and a slice of frozen orange which is lovely. Mainly coz it doesn’t taste of gin at all 😂 |

Jack Daniels... One night in my first year at uni I had waaaaaay too much in one night (somewhere between 1/3 and 1/2 a litre!).
I was still young, so didn't actually feel ILL the next morning, but that was probably also because I was definitely still intoxicated! Mind you, it was the only time a maths lecture actually made sense!! |

Southern Comfort, I stupidly drank a half bottle of it straight when I was maybe 18. Trying to be the big I am at a party. Let’s just say without going into too much details, the clothes I was wearing that night went in the bin. Almost 40 years later and even the smell of it makes me feel sick. |

Yeah it was bad.
I used to drink them in the morning at work, got them from the pound shop.
One day they ran out, so I got one from a corner shop, don't know if it was off or something, but a really bad experience.
I had severe head pains at work and fell unconscious. |

Nightclub with a bunch of mates, all got chatting to a crowd of girls. Ice cube swapping became the theme for some reason. Got through my drinks twice as fast. I fell asleep on a stool in the middle of the dancefloor, woke up with the lights on and doormen standing over me. Two mates arm locked me either side and walked me to my hotel room. I spent the night on the big white phone to God.
The smell of it now just turns my stomach

Gin is just dirty vodka that has been rolled around some leaves and strained back in the bottle. I will accept no further argument on this. |

So many.
Gordon’s Dry Gin
Brandy (just because it tastes vile)
Vodka
Peach Schnapps
Very dark dry Red Wine (Merlot?)
Trouble is you get a thirst on and next thing you know you’re hugging the toilet and spend the next day and beyond shaking, sweating and feeling like crap 😭

A certain whisky. Uni friend started something, lots of great distilleries joined in, lots of whisky was consumed. Never, ever, ever again. Even the faint smell of it brings back the struggle of the morning after. |

Vat 19 rum from Tortola, had a lot in a bar there as a youth whilst serving on a RN frigate.Gave me a bad head for days. |

"Gin, since overuse when younger.
I also had extremely awful experiences of rum, whilst in Cuba, so will probably never, ever let that touch my insides, whilst alive. A dodgy still
Any particular type or flavour of rum? Mebbe it was local moonshine?"
I think it was local moonshine |

I had about 10 shots of the stuff and now the smell makes me gag. Awful stuff |

Southern Comfort, which I drank when I was younger. But after the first time of overdoing, and then over spilling(!), I can never drink it again! |

Probably Baileys. As it gives me wicked heartburn. |

"Southern Comfort, I stupidly drank a half bottle of it straight when I was maybe 18. Trying to be the big I am at a party. Let’s just say without going into too much details, the clothes I was wearing that night went in the bin. Almost 40 years later and even the smell of it makes me feel sick. "
So-Co for me too. Pretty much word for word, except it wasn't a party it was a quiet couple of pints in the pub with the lads from my student house and the landlord. Only when we got back three us kept drinking (one already a 'I can't drink Southern Comfort), me and the landlord polished off a litre bottle between us.
I woke up the following morning, the sink in my room full of spew blocking the water I tried to wash it away with so it was full to the brim. Couldn't get rid of the smell for weeks! 🤢🤢🤢 |
