Bare has been used by the afro Carabian community for yrs , a lot of slang words come from them , they invent words to hide what there talking about ( kinda a secret language)
The fact it's spilled over into our language is down to is picking up there slang
When I worked over Nasau it was a completely different English language lol , but I still find in funny when Caucasian males try to do it lol |

I think it’s the Oxford dictionary people who decide whether a word gets in there. I applied years ago with the word ‘remail’ meaning the email that answers an email but they told me (by remail) that a word has to be in ‘common usage’ before it can be considered. |
