I love Cannonball Run! 😃 It was one of my favourites, and still super funny and great fun! I have loads of old favourites that I’ve never stopped watching, but perhaps the very top of the list is Big Trouble in Little China…. It’s all the reflexes.

Agreed! The irony that it can be taken completely at face value as a gung-ho xenophobic bugsplatfest or as a devastating critique of gung-ho xenophobia is what makes it brilliant (and I suspect Paul Verhoeven deliberately made it that way). It's a much cleverer film than it gets credit for.
