I love Cannonball Run! 😃 It was one of my favourites, and still super funny and great fun! I have loads of old favourites that I’ve never stopped watching, but perhaps the very top of the list is Big Trouble in Little China…. It’s all the reflexes. |

Agreed! The irony that it can be taken completely at face value as a gung-ho xenophobic bugsplatfest or as a devastating critique of gung-ho xenophobia is what makes it brilliant (and I suspect Paul Verhoeven deliberately made it that way). It's a much cleverer film than it gets credit for. |
