Business expansion or confusion
Jump to: Newest in thread
A couple in Hotwife lifestyle wants to expand their IT biz - Husband wants to open offices in India and Philippines but wife is insisting on Nigeria or Ghana. Her argument is unless you give chance to the people how would you know if they can deliver it…saying India is no longer that cost advantageous, with low labour arbitrage, however, Philippines is still better, but cannot scale out due to regulations and skill shortage. What would you suggest?? Husband knows ulterior motive but totally confused. |

"I'm afraid I don't know much about the IT sector in those countries. What's best for their business? Surely that will guide it above anything else.
You mean Nigeria and Ghana? "
I don't know. Are their IT sectors better than India or the Philippines? Is it easier to do business there? I've literally no idea, but I can't imagine company owners making decisions based on anything other than what's right for their business, when you seem to be suggesting they would. |

"Why does the wife favour Nigeria and Ghana over any other African countries ?"
They considered SA but not so sure about anti white thing going on - so wife is suggesting Nigeria and Ghana, Husband is stuck with India and Philippines. He told me in hush hush that her wife is happy to run the office in Nigeria and Ghana. I know that he knows something which he isn’t telling me clearly, so I am trying to avoid conversation- but he is insisting me to talk to her wife |

Is this some longer winded round about way round insinuate she wants to go to Africa because of some perceived stereotype about black men?
Because that's how it's coming across to me.
It's so coming across as a bit of a fantasy make believe situation rather than a real one if I'm honest. But I know sod all about IT so maybe the best thing to do is to leave those decisions to someone who works in the sector and not ask a bunch of swingers. 🤔🤷♂️😂

If they know anything about business and IT, they will know exactly where in the Philippines they should be.
Having worked extensively on Victoria Island Nigeria, and Philipines, Singapore, Thailand , the Gulf , building IT teams globally ....it's a no brainer for me, but it's not that difficult for anybody to find out with a bit of research , his wife's argument clearly demonstrates her zero business sense.

My advice gleaned from many years of being alive is, stay the heck out of other people's relationships. If these people want to know where to expand their business tell them to visit the countries and make a level headed decision based on real facts not some crazy secret ambition a man thinks his wife has. Lord alone knows why he wants you to talk to his wife. |

If this is genuine then really need to do their due diligence and assess all factors in the decision.
Costs and availability of staff
Proposition and associated regulations required in UK and regions of choice
More generally unless the business is of a substantial size and expected to grow it may be more preferable to find ways to make existing operations more efficient before offshoring the business.

You should charge them for this advice!
Id add tax, free zones, investor visas, types of legal entity to your list but you are on the right tracks
I would disagree slightly on when and the economies of scale you imply, with the right skills you can outsource tiny projects offshore, you don't necessarily need improve your local processes or capacity first, or even have any, and there are mechanisms, there was a famous company in Tampa Bay Florida I used to use early 2000s as a middle man that would hold money as many people in Asia will commit to starting & completing a project over multiple months without pay as long as they know the money has been transferred to a trusted third party that provides mediation for disputes. |

I agree she is thinking from her own benefits point of view as they are in Hotwife lifestyle - this is where I am avoiding them, don’t want to be devils advocate. Husbands been chasing me as I am his good friend, asking me to speak to his wife and convince her on India or Philippines, and I am like cannot you not think through brains?? Why always dick and pussy - I am getting so full and will soon utter this in their face. |

"I’d leave them to it. It sounds complicated.
Getting there mate, to ask it on a predominantly UK based swingers site is probably quite helpful to them, they sound totally clueless "
Can you reveal being in Hotwife relationship to your local Business support group or Financial advisor. Mate you don’t know how many of out there struggling to get right advice on things where in some ways this lifestyle is connected to. You just cannot discuss it with your Vanilla friends, can you? |

So their business decisions are based on her being a hotwife rather than trying to build a successful business?
Am I reading this right? |

Hang on a cotton picking minute.
Are you after infirmation on setting up some sort of business connected to the hotwife or swinging world or how to stop your friend asking you to speak to his wife over some sort of mysterious reason she wants to set it up in an African country? |

Yes wife seems looking at this whole thing through Hotwife lenses but Husbands isn’t. That’s the point of contention. He is trying his level best to convince her through legality and scalability point of view. |

Latter - Husband knows how to setup business at both the continents - so not looking for legal advice but how to handle the situation where Hotwifing is coming in the middle of making sane decisions. |

What has hotwifing got to do with the choice of location?
Methinks you (and the 'husband') are confused about what hotwifing is.
There's no direct link between hotwifing and ethnicity, which you appear to be inferring. 🤔
