Trouble, apparently…

Supposed to have a bit of a good rep. I keep seeing them around.

I do prefer my real Range Rover though.

I have 2 friends that both have the Jaecoo 7.

All the mod cons and a fraction of the price of a Range Rover.

They have no regrets in buying one

We have the Jeacoo J7 PHEV, absolutely love it. For the price its so luxurious and has such good tech built in. Its bloody quick off the mark too! Scared myself pulling away the other day 🤣

Shame that they are picking up a reputation of rusting away. The chineese have used cheap steel and rust is setting in at 2 years old.

It was the best selling car brand in March accross most of Europe due to their amazing offer of 0% deposit and 0% finance. Not sure if that is still the case but still a good motor in my opinion. It is made by the manufacturer that used to make the Range Rover Evoke, hence the striking resemblance.

Some fun facts for you x

I have a friend who has one. Loves it.

Only negative he found was that insurance prices can be 'ouchy' as apparently there's delays and issues getting certain parts for repairs, so insurers charge more.

But he thinks for the money it's way better value than a Range Rover. And he used to have three. 🤷‍♂️

The FWD version has higher insurance but the PHEV version is a lot cheaper to insure. Only got ours in March so not experienced any mechanical issues. The battery in the fob ran out fast but I think thats because we kept it in a Faraday pouch to prevent it being cloned, this causes the fob to constantly search for the car and drain the battery faster. I only use the Faraday pouch now when in close proximity to the car to prevent it getting broken into. Mostly at work as I park in close proximity to where my handbag is stored.

My favourite feature in this hot weather! The inside is black so the seats get hot so this is a god send to cool them down rapidly. Also has heated steering wheel x

I saw these referred to as the ‘dry robe of cars’ 😂 not the best things to look at- the proportions are well off, massive overhangs, tiny glass area, great slabsided doors, massive tyres and tiny alloys. They aren’t the only ones- seems it’s a Chinese thing- my concern is how they will fare in 5-10 years from now, I suspect not brilliantly…

I am with this. I am not a massive fan of the boxy Chinese look but then I am not buying it.
