No. Since Alice Cooper did a fantastic show. The line ups have been shocking.
They have had chances to change up what they do for years. Add an extra stage and have new folk type acts there.
They are terrified of local act Leatherat being more popular than them so refuse to have them on the line up. They did once. First act up on a Thursday it was pissing down and the field was full.
Apparently, that being good meant they couldn't have them on again?!
If they did the festival would have grown and not shrunk, they could leve the legacy and new bands could take it on. Despite that treatment most of leatherat still go and promote it
Then you have the fringe and the brasenose pub not paying its staff but charging you to go in.
That never used to happen either.
So no I wont be going. And its such a shame because it used to be very good. |

Yes definitely going, I love how they support minor bands and different kinds that you wouldn't normally see. Probably the friendliest festival in the UK and now it's shrunk to 6000 people it's a lot better. |

I agree that Alice Cooper was excellent but last year was the first of the slimmed down version and I was suprised that I really really enjoyed it. For me, the main thing is to chill and take in the no pressure atmosphere. Some of the sets will not be by cuppa tea in which case I just wander down to the Red Lion and chill there. For me a 2nd stage would be a complete no no.... I don't want to be presented with choices.... |
