A trim, yes. A shave, no. I'm always nervous when there's a blade near my throat.
I used to cut my own hair for years, but I decided I like someone else doing it for me. It's a better finish than I could do. |

I pretty much always do it myself on the rare occasions when I want a really good shape to my beard and they've cut my hair they always seem in such a rush and I'm on edge as soon as the cutthroat razor comes out and they set fire to my earholes. |

I've never had a professional shave, but I don't find haircuts relaxing.
Even if I know they'll do a good job I'm worrying they won't. And then there's the "how much to chat" worry. I'm happy with none, but that feels rude, but equally don't want to them to jabber on - they need to concentrate on my hair! |
