How would you fair if the internet disappeared? You'd have to rely on local friends and connections again. Would that actually be more successful that online stuff? How much of your day would seem empty?

OP i switched off social media ages ago, could do life without fab and if I could do all my banking and accounts etc without needing to be online I'd be happy.

However life is now all about digital access to services, TV and music streaming etc

I'd cope admirably if the net got switched off because I've lived most of my life without it. I would hate to go back to that though, the net is so convenient

Not very well. I’d lose my business.

Social media wise - easy. I don’t have any of it apart from this.

I use the net for the following

Translation from almost any language into English

Finding goods and services

Getting information in nano seconds

Directions

Research on holidays etc

Keeping in touch with far flung relatives

Recipes

In fact there isn't a day goes by without me relying on the net. My dad says it's turning us all in to idiots

couple, us we him her.

Happily if I could still work, unfortunately all my work is sent remotely and everything i do is tracked ,timed and recorded.

If I was able to do it the old way I'd love it.

Although Analogue tv and radio would be BORING.

My job would change dramatically! Would have to go back to driving all over the country to fix things for people.

Hmmm that could have its advantages
