Rather a minority interest but I wonder if anyone can suggest any places where I would feel comfortable and not offend people travelling as a trans-woman (probably with my wife) in Europe (including Ireland) and any places definitely to avoid?

I can't answer your question as I have no experience of your situation but I have found that you can find acceptance in the places where you thought you wouldn't and vice versa.

I hope you get some answers

Thank you; yes, that has been my experience within Britain and with individuals as well. 😘

Thank you; I have worked with a couple of Icelanders and I liked them, but I have never been there.

Thank you, we have been there in my ‘previous life’ and enjoyed it and I was thinking that it would be a good place to go.

Berlin is another great place, that's very open and warm to others. It's an interesting city, tons to see and do

Thank you, that’s an idea; I have only been there briefly some years ago on a work related visit in my ‘previous life’ rather than on holiday.😘

Scandinavian countries are pretty liberal and laid back.

Berlin and a lot of Germany.

But most countries will be fine, as long as you are sensible about it x

Thank you; I have some Scandinavian friends and would love to visit those countries and that was my impression, certainly from a Norwegian woman friend.

I am discreet and unobtrusive and not the demanding ostentatious type and I have been pleasantly surprised how easy things have been for me in this country, if one is just behaving normally and not drawing attention to oneself or making a fuss about anything.
