How can I be completely naked, no covers, fan on, and still be sweating buckets? Hate it so much. Anyone feel the same?

One tip is to have a couple of paracetamol before you go to bed, as it helps to reduced temperature a little.

Is that right?

It’s cold in this country. It’s only warm at the moment here

Manchester(ish).

I'm under a summer duvet and feel perfectly fine thanks.

I think I have lizard DNA.

Ineffective and Unsafe:

Medical guidelines from health agencies explicitly state that paracetamol should not be given for heat-related illnesses like heat exhaustion or heatstroke.

It can add unnecessary strain to organs like the liver when the body is already stressed by dehydration and heat. (GOV.UK)

Somewhere In The Ether…

I visualise that I am in the Arctic, laying atop a giant iceberg.

….Which then promptly melts due to my excessive body heat and causes a catastrophic global rise in sea levels 😞

Get a hammock and sleep in the garden.

It's quite nice, 21°C and dropping to 17°C in a few hours.

Get a plant mister (not the BDSM kind) and mist your bed sheets or duvet cover before getting in/on bed

Or if you just sleep under a sheet, put it on a quick wash an hour or so before bed and sleep under it. Or on it.

Would be a dream to have bedroom windows open wide in this heat but slightest noise and our dog would launch herself out of bedroom window to get at whowever is knocking about

So sadly a window size of a small shoebox will have to do.

We bought a floor standing fan from Screwfix but can't have it on past setting 1..feels like bed will levitate..loud isn't the word

I just sleep on top of the bed. It's annoying, but in all honesty just like most December - February nights for my first 30 years. 🤷🏻‍♀️
