"Are you a lefty? How will you celebrate your special day? "
How will I celebrate Dee?...I was thinking of buying a used large green cucumber...but that's not realistic 
Seeing your gallery was a great start to the day...not to mention, a good reason to exercise my wrist...the left one of course.
p.s. if any of you lefties want hear about a thesis an old buddy of mine wrote in college about left handed writing...let me know. I don't have the whole thing but remember a few points, which I thought were very interesting. |

I’m a weird lefty. Think it’s defined as cross-dominant.
I do 70% of things with my left hand but other things like play guitar, golf, throw a ball is all with my right hand.
Not sure what I should do to celebrate, suggestions on a left handed postcard please. |

Oh the trauma. I was raised in a house where I was the only right handed person!
My youngest is also left handed and for whatever reason we're also sat the wrong way next to each other when we're in restaurants with our elbows bashing. It makes me laugh every time it happens. |

Somewhat ambidextrous here, I do somethings left handed and some thing right handed. It baffles my husband everytime I use my left hand just as effectively as my right. I write right handed but eat left handed. I count money left handed (work in a bank), open drinks left handed, dress as a right handed person, apply make up right handed, can paint my nails perfectly well with both hands. Can't think of anything else right now, I am neurospicy so my brain is wired differently, that might have something to do with it..

They don't do this in schools anymore, my son is left handed. I started out as left handed but my mum thought it looked awkward so made me do things right handed. (I was home tutored for a while) then when I got to school they couldn't figure out which hand I should use as I'd switch. They went with right handed in the end. My dad was also left handed as a child and got it caned out of him. Both our hand writing is shocking 😲

🙋♀️ Another leftie here! If school had their way, I would have been a rightie. Apparently my mum had cross words with them, saying "she can write with whichever hand she chooses, it's not going to change who she is!"
I am ambidextrous in certain activities but it doesn't feel the same... so I inevitably run the risk of RSI on occasion. |

I have 3 kids and hoped at least one would be a lefty too.

I'm left-handed, which means I am right-brain dominant-the creative side. Left-handedness, down through the centuries, has always been regarded as off or weird.
In rural Ireland, long, long ago, it was not uncommon for a child to have their left hand tied behind their back to force them to write with the right hand. The Irish language has a word for left-handed folk: Ciotóg (noun) or ciotógach (adjective). The literal root comes from ciotach, which means "awkward," "clumsy," or "strange". Historically, this reflects the old cultural view of left-handedness.
