Speaking of confusing people, I hadn't worked here long when I asked my colleagues if anyone had a stiffy for me. 😳 In South Africa, a 3½ floppy disc in its little plastic casette was known as a stiffy disc - floppy discs were the bigger 5¼ ones. A stiffy in this country means something totally different! 😬 |
