There are loads of genuine people on here. As long as you realise that we all may need to message a few times/speak on the phone, before all parties are sure that they're right for each other: this wouldn't be time-wasting. It would be an intelligent use of filtering the right people, getting the cream, rather than the curdled whey etc. That way, you'll increase the % of meets that have great sex, and you'll get to meet decent people who want the same things.
It's harder for you single guys, I realise, as competition's tough - but keep at it, as those in it for long run, who are flexible etc, are more likely to be successful.

I think that what Dee's saying is what constitutes a timewaster for many - just we just didn't open the door and drop our knickers right there and then to any cock.
