Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

Do you have your life mapped out, a career plan and milestones? Or do you go go with the flow and make your decisions based on what's presented to you?

When I was a young teenager I wanted to be a journalist

Things happened and since then there has always been curve balls ....

Now I go with the flow - what will be will be

I try to plan things but it tends to tits up, I have goals that I'm working towards but its not easy so try to go with the flow so its less stressful.

Brighton - even Hove!

Roll with the flow, I micro manage day to day stuff and plan ahead within certain parameters eg. I book holidays a long way ahead, but career wise I'm a mere pawn, a puppet, a mug.

Do you have career ambitions? You've mentioned wanting another child... all things that need a little bit of planning, even if that is to take risks and see what happens.

Have you given up on journalism? There's a whole on-line world of people producing content now.

Pawn, puppet and mug - you're a busy person having three roles.

Isn't there a stress in not knowing what is likely to happen?

Central

A bit of both - if I don't respond with flexibility to what's out there, I'd feel less in control, and I prefer to be flexible.

If the terrain changes then it alters the journey, not necessarily the final destination.

think that just means im a dreamer. They aren't ridgid wants in life.

i had 4 mates all have kids within a matter of days and after lots of photo's on facebook filling my newsfeed and getting cuddles from the new bambino's guess im back to being normal and happy with my one child.

one day in the future id not entirely rule a second one out but im now in the frame of 'if it happens it happens'

Eastbourne

I always wanted to join the navy when I was younger, joined the sea cadets learned as much as i could. Only to get an eye injury that fucked up my chances, after that I let things happen by themselves and see what happens.

South Coast

I'm a planner, most things are carefully mapped: day to day affairs, a monthly plan which fits within my yearly plan, and then a 5 year plan which feeds into each year's yearly plan.

That said, I also leave room for flexibility so that I don't miss out on the random, often spontaneous opportunities that head my way

My life never goes according to plan. Theres always something that has to mess everything up...

...i guess for the time being i go with the flow and take each day as it comes.

Although, i do think its time i started doing things for myself rather than being the one who does everything to help others.

I havent planned my life but i know what others have planned and id much rather help them..

(Oops? Getting rather deep there )

totally off road at the moment, but used to be a bit OCD on the life plan.

trying to go with the flow now, hence being on FAB.

Absolutely. Planning doesn't mean that you can't let opportunities in when they arise.

In life generally I know where I am, what's around me and where I want to be. I trust myself to get there and enjoy the scenery on the way.

Day to day, I plan everything out but only "fix" the key points of the plan, so when it ultimately goes belly up I don't care and end up winging it anyway

Plans are never fixed until you deliver them. They do provide a handy road map. I think we should all have alternative routes on that map too. A contingency plan isn't a bad thing.
