Have any of the bi people on here gone into a "normal" pub and pulled someone of the same sex?

This is something I would like to do, but a bit nervous about meeting the most homophobic guy in the world and his mates.

My bi fem best mate almost did last week, but the lass's boyfriend wasn't impressed and dragged her home.

Oh PS, Halifax has 0 gay pubs or clubs.

I daren't even try and chat up a woman in a gay bar, no chance I'd try in a straight bar.

It's different for females though. Generally (not always) we are quite a tactile species, give us alcohol, and we are even more so.

I've done it numerous times where I've started chatting to a group of girls on nights out, and ended up kissing one. But they are usually 'lipstick lesbians', not gay or even bi, just doing it for the attention it brings from men.

I did once start talking to a girl on the bus, and end up dating her for 4 months.

Ive encountered women on nights out who aren't remotely interested in women as such but think it would be ' fun' to kiss a woman - or to please their man

Strange huh

I think just carry on as you are - be who you are and it will happen if its meant to happen .. don't think its a good idea to start randomly chatting up a man in a bar though

Hit Leeds - it has a great scene and the Viaduct is possibly my most favouritestist pub in the whole world, including Yorkshire.

I wouldn't bother in a straight pub. Not unless your gaydar is exceptionally precise.

Yes - both of us have been approached with same sex offers on 'normal' nights out. He's had the most offers, but was less pleased with them

Brighton - even Hove!

Dead easy in Brighton, the rainbow flags and stickers and 'we are gay friendly' sings on the door give it away...never tried, never will.

kinky land

I met an ex girlfriend at a nilla event once. Theatre in sheffield but she was very direct & asked me straight out.

People find me

I must have ' bi sexual horny & something else' stamped on me... Somewhere

But then i also pulled a bloke in homebase with 3 kids in tow

Im just approachable in real life / people are sympathetic

I wouldn't advise a guy to try it. For your safety

Stick to places you know you won't get a slap x

But even if it were , a bi/gay bloke might not appreciate being approached in a normal pub

Then, presumably, he'll say so. The same as a straight person might not want to be approached in tesco. In my book you take your chances where you can.
