I have one of those wooden breakfast trays with legs. The laptop is on that and there is a handy cup/glass space for my water.

In the living room its on a foldaway table in the bedroom its on a mesh backrest which sits perfectly across your lap and allows it to stay cool

Not used my lap top for well over 8 maybe 9 months.. Its in a drawer.. Easier to use the phone for what I need to use Fab for .
