just wanted to say I think LinkedIn is a bloody great site . I was made redundant last year having always worked since I left college. it's a huge kick in the nuts to your self confidence. I started hooking up with past collegues on LinkedIn and a guy I worked with 10 years ago offered me a job, which was exactly what I was looking for . Picking the new car up this morning .

Great news!
Linked in is where a lot of the bigger companies do most of their recruitment from now.
I was in resourcing for over 10 years before I moved into the HR generalist side, but still use it for head hunting.

I haven't found it very useful at all but I'm glad it worked for you. I had a friend who was also made redundant and he also seemed to find it very helpful. |

I got made redundant recently and found my new job via LinkedIn after someone i know in my industry contacted me about a position.
I start on Monday.
