Personally, I'd find the red light scene a bit of a bore - bit I've heard that there's a sex museum that's really interesting & the café scene is supposed to be brilliant!  |

Yeah, heard nothing but raves about it; lots of exhibits of sex aids throughout the ages etc, - interesting stuff!!
Nothing like chatting to some yummy Dutch women in the cafés etc, though, - that would be my mission ............ & then there's the tulips  |

Heineken museum is good. .. and u get some freebies after wards!
A trip on one of the canals is a good way to see more of Amsterdam. .
The tram system is very good and cheap to get around the city!

Loads of great bars and clubs that have live music on. It's a great city that like most big cities has a great night life so you will have plenty to do other than hit the cafés and red light district.
I had 2 months working there and was never bored. |

Sex museum is quite.
Heineken museum is worth going to, they used to let you drink as much as you liked when you'd finished the tour, nowadays they limit the amount you can drink.
I've always struggled to leave the cafes myself. There are the paren (sic) clubs which are swingers clubs, taxis will rip you off if you use them for parents clubs as they get a backhander from the clubs which ends up on your bill. I think you also have the Rembrandt museum if that's your thing. I love Holland it's a well chilled out place. |

leden sq and Rembrandt sq are great places for a mixed nightlife night, plenty of choices to eat drink or smoke if that's what you like, canal boat trips are a good way to look around and relax for a few hours, the night clubs are also around Rembrandt sq  |
