That i had never changed a fuse on a plug in my life. Washing machine went dead so boyfriend checked it, took the plug of the kettle and of i trotted to wilkinsons to buy some fuses. F*** me i didnt even know there was more than one size fuse, so i have learnt today that a kettle takes a 5amp fuse lol.
Who said you cant teach an old dog new tricks.
Mind you i only bought them i didnt change it. |

"What will happen to it with a 5amp fuse?"
If it doesn't blow immediately, it will blow at some point. In reality you need a 10A fuse, but they are not an easyilt obtained value, so 13A is acceptable and recommended |

Tis easy to work out..
If the kettle is say 2kw and your supply is 230v Then 2000w/230v gives the rating of the fuse.. in amps lol.
Honest!
Now you always round up to the next available, never down..
See.. simple maths always wins over. |

Well thankyou mrnotts but i did understand wishys way better lol. But it did only have a 5amp fuse in it to start with and it has never blown in abuot four years, only reason we took it of was to put it in the washing machine.
Do you ever post something then wish you hadnt lolxx |
