Brighton - even Hove!

She did a lot of good and was an energetic and multi talented woman.

In the middle

She was an inspiration to millions, a truly marvellous, talented woman who stood by what she believed

"She was an inspiration to millions, a truly marvellous, talented woman who stood by what she believed"

Yet a thread about the death of some guy with millions of $'s who just happened to be involved in financing English football draws far more comment.

Sad. On all counts.

I know Lickety. I find it a little sad that so many have probably never heard of her contributions.

I was saddened to read that she was alone when she died (if wiki is to believed).

I just started re-reading one of her poetry books this week. Saddened to hear such a leading inspirational light has been extinguished.

Imagine on BBC1 now (28/2/2017) is showing her last filmed interview alongside pieces from her past.

She was so beautiful. I can't believe it's nearly 3 years since she died.

"If you have only one smile in you give it to the people you love. Try to be a rainbow in someone's cloud. My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style."

My favourite Maya quote....
