half hour show on TV takes a lot longer than that to make, plus they only make so many per year so it's actually an annual salary you are looking at for a show that earns the manufacturers 10's of millions per episode.

good on them... that what the case of friends famously did... all 6 of them went in together and demanded to be paid the same and they ended up getting close to 1 mil per episode each...... |

It's no Phil Silver's Show, but it is pretty palatable. Good luck to them, they have the talent the producers need, so let them do some collective bargaining.
It reminds me of an interview with the late Bob Crow, when someone once accused him of getting some of his members 60K a year and he replied, 'Oh no! We have some members on MUCH more than that!'

I would presume the advertising generated and overseas sales would cover the costs otherwise they wouldn't do it. Syndicating world wide generated a lot of money these days. |
