I use it for but I only have one contact on mine. I prefer What'sApp but you have to give your number out for that. Kik is just a user name  |

I use it solely for the purpose of getting know people not for pictures, I like it just because you get notifications when someone does message you and the app is closed. |

You know you can set your message preferences on here to email you when you get a message?
Having kik/whatsapp/anyotherapp doesn't necessarily increase your chances of contact?

We've managed to get to know plenty of people without the use of any chat app whatsoever.........read into that what you will but kinda shows how useful they are............ |

I know you can but my emails take ages to come through where as even if kik is closed I get a little notification with a 1 saying I have an unread message to read if Fabs had an app that could do that then I would be happy |

You can send vids on whatsapp. Something I don't like about kik...actually the poster above was correct, I had one guy from here got me to download it and he was definitely just a picture fetishist. He soon got bored with me, I won't do that kind of pic....  |

Oh I remember now, that's why I deleted it - it suddenly stopped sending me notifications whatever I did in settings. |

Whilst downloading kik I noticed there is a video part to it to which I downloaded I'm not looking for naughty pics or videos just to get to know people x |

I like Kik as for me its settings are simpler than WhatsApp, and you don't have to give anything private away.
Easy to block anyone who gets a bit scary. I use WhatsApp for friends and family and Kik for...my more interesting friends! |

Oh I remember now, that's why I deleted it - it suddenly stopped sending me notifications whatever I did in settings."
I had to delete mine for the same reason but I've installed it again after my Windows phone was updated a few weeks ago. I'm having the same notification problems with What'sApp at the moment but it's a technical fault with Windows and not the apps themselves. |
