Queen, at any venue.
Michael Jackson when he first did the moonwalk.
Elvis in his early days.
Or Manic Street Preachers in their youth, when all of them were together. |

As an aside, and it's a while since i've looked, but there was and probably still is an amazing website ( set up and run by Billy Graham concert promoter) featuring Rock Concerts through the 60's, 70's and 80's maybe beyond. Searchable for your fave band by name and date. Quality is variable as you would expect.
Google for "Wolfgangs Vaults"
Can you spot a concert at which you were there?
If anyone knows any more accurate orupdated info, please add. |

ps when i last used it it required an e-mail address to let you in, and then imposed a time limit on usage. After that, just enter any other e-mail and start again. |

"Would love to have seen The Rolling Stones in the 80's, certainly wouldn't pay £200+ for a ticket nowadays "
Saw them at Ashton Gate, Bristol in 80/81...they were shit; every song played at twice normal speed. |

Back in around 95 I had to choose between Bon Jovi and Guns n Roses for which concert I would see, daughter was due to come to this life so couldnt afford both, both concerts at MK Bowl I chose to the Jovi!! My bad as they returned the year after whereas GnR were to split!! Whilst Jovi were brilliant I hate that fact I missed that chance to see Axl, Slash and Duff |

Saw Guns 'N' Roses at Manchester Apollo on the 'Appetite...' tour (with Faster Pussycat supporting).
They were brilliant and all swapped instruments for 'Rocket Queen', which was cool. |

Back in the late 80's I chose Carter USM in a pub rather than The Pixies in Brum Hummingbird. And while I still love Carter, I still wish I'd seen The Pixies before the split!
Morrissey's first solo gig when he played at Wolverhampton Civic hall for free but you had to wear a Smiths shirt.
I've missed a lot of bands at festivals because I was fucked...
Other than that the bands I wished I'd seen were before my time |

ZZ top at Brixton a few years ago. It was on my birthday and Mrs P said the children had planned something for me. I have the ticket to my brother and he said it was one of the best he'd been to.
I would loved to have seen the White stripes before they split as well. I've seen Jack White and he was brilliant. |

Ziggy Stardust at The Rainbow supported by Roxy Music, '72 l think. Even more awesome then as Eno was still with them.
It must have been an epic gig!
Seen Bowie & Roxy since but unfortunately l never got to The Rainbow before it closed. |

And any of the original Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band gigs. Saw the 40th anniversary gig at The Astoria & got our tickets for the 50th in April.
I was lucky enough to see one of Viv Stanshall's shows at the Bloomsbury, shortly before he died. Sadly missed. |

"JIMI HENDRIX
Anywhere.
ELVIS
In his younger Rock and Roll days.
TINA TURNER
SINATRA
He's just so smooth. "
Too young for Hendrix, Elvis, or Sinatra but saw Tina Turner on the Private Dancer tour when Bryan Adams supported her and David Bowie was a guest. I think you can get the show on DVD...it was certainly released on VHS. |

We've seen Tina Turner twice. Not normally my type of thing but she does put on an excellent show. Really enjoyed it. |

Have to say that no one really floats it for me now.
I was fortunate to have been involved in so many as a rigger over the years that I ticked my boxes.

I saw Morrisey bottled off stage at fiinsbury park. He was supporting Ian Dury and the blockheads and Madness. I was a massive smiths fan so I felt sorry for him. I don't think it stifled his career though. |

It was a bit before then. I don't think he was macho enough for the madness crowd. It was the first gig they'd done in years and they were a little excitable. |

"INXS Wembley Stadium. Michael Hutchence amazing front man."
Hutchence was the most charismatic frontman I've ever seen. First saw them on the Listen Like Thieves tour. Once got free tickets to see them at the NEC because a couple of friends of ours had slept with the bass player and guitarist/saxophonist!

Missed Black Sabbath, pendulum, darkness and almost missed The Cult at Download a couple of years ago due to sex!....damn tent
Then at another DL missed Prodidgy due to erm not being all there because of some moorish cakes..
Their set seemed to go on for about 10hrs!
Very slow....fuck knows how we got back to the tent......I do remember asking Liz to fuck me with her mind and then pronouncing I had cum, whereupon she said "no you haven't you Pratt"
Tent neighbours didn't speak to us after that
Sorry, I digress!

i was at the '86 wembley gig. travelled up from south wales with a load of others on a coach and got there 4 hours before the turnstiles opened so we sat outside the greyhound pub drinking. it was ROASTING HOT!!!! eventually we got in and found some shade in the stands, couldn't be arsed with being crushed by idiots on the pitch or the sun (it was really strong that day). INXS were on first... and boy did they suck balls big time!!!! don't think i've ever seen such a shite band. The Alarm were good but then Quo came on and they were bollocks too, not as bollocks as INXS mind. Queen eventually came on and some huge inflatables of each band member started to get inflated. the one of john deacon wasn't secured properly and floated off out of the stadium and away into the sky. i heard they got a row off the CAA for that. it wasn't a bad day out and of course i was very very d*unk. |

Shouldn't that be Gillan OR Coverdale?
I've seen six off that wishlist and variations of the rest (Page and Plant, Plant solo loads of times, Gillan solo, Coverdale with Whitesnake and Genesis without Gabriel!) |

inxs played first and the stadium was half full. folks on the pitch were sitting down eating picnics. hutchence eventually started pleading for people to get up and dance. no-one knew who they were at the time ..... after a while he started to slag off the crowd and they responded by singing "who the fuck are, who the fuck are, who the fucking hell are you?", hutchence got angry and slagged of the crowd some more, then inxs got some food and bottles lobbed at them. it obviously wasn't just me who thought they sucked balls |

I was very pissed that day and off my tits on painkillers as I'd just come out of hospital after having my knee ligaments reconstructed!
To be fair there were only about 400 people at Birmingham Odeon to see Inxs a few weeks before too, so they weren't very well known. |

Saw him on his last tour, Broadway the hard way. Three times, at the Brighton Pavilion & twice at Wembley Arena. Different show each night, as he always did. He is also sadly missed.
Saw Banned From Utopia a few weeks back at The Jazz Cafe in Camden. They're worth seeing, all ex Zappa band & you wouldn't even know Frank wasn't there as he trained them all so well.
Google them. |
