Oh no....Dippy the Diplodocus is being taken away from the Natrual History Museum

They say he may go on a tour of the country...hope it's on the back of a steam lorry driven by nannies

If you love the film as much as I do you'll understand . xxx

Crawley

I saw him last weekend. Guess I visited just in time. Think he's being replaced by a Blue whale.

I saw that......blue whales are impressive I agree but it just makes me a little sad, seen him a few times in the 35 years he's been at the NHM, such a fantastic sight when you walk in....tho he's still going to be there until 2016/7....gives us all chance to say goodbye

Save the whales they say but what have the whales ever done for us?, has a whale ever had a top ten hit?

The nape of the neck!

OMG I used to be able to quote the entire script of this when I was a kid.

"Where am I?"

"Why England, sir. You ARE lost, aren't you sir?"

Loooooooove it!

Titz Towers, North Notts

When I first read about Dippy being removed from there, I thought it was a typo and Dappy was being booted out.

Derbyshire

When our kids were around 7 we took them there. I explained how there was this MA-HOOOSIVE Brontosaurus there, bigger than a seven storey building.

Felt a bit let down when I discovered he'd shrunk since I was 7, and was a mere copy of a diplodocus!

Arse End of the Universe, Cumbria

Wyrd and I went today to see him, however the queue was stretching to the Home Counties so we abandoned the idea and headed to Camden for a mooch round the markets instead...

Next time in London, we'll go at opening time (that's assuming an early night previous rather than a 5am return to the hotel)
