Am I alone in finding it a turn off when people write stuff with appalling grammar and spelling?
Personally I think that the mind is the biggest erogenous zone and to stimulate it is the absolute best way to turn someone on. |

My spelling and grammar are poor and i think its unfair to judge somone on it im a really respectful genuine guy who loves to pleasure women i have a partner who has excellent grammer and spelling. Im sute there are guys out there who can spell well and have great grammer who are only out for themselves and they would get more attention over thw the way they write |

? text speak in itself is a form of shorthand writing, the person textspeaking is expressing himself in his or her own natural way combining and ommiting certain letters with numbers. He is genuinely trying to make contact. How can that be a turn off ? I think text speak is clever and futuristic, as long as you can atleast attempt to decode it |

The sad truth probably is they just do not know they are getting it wrong. They blame dyslexia, laziness and even those that point it out to them.
However, in the end, if they do not know the difference between common words like "accept" and "except", "there","they're" and "their", and put "no" instead of "know" it indicates the schooling ststem has failed them.
I also do not believe they write correctly elsewhere and not on Fab because this is a casual sex site. Sadly, they just don't know and we should make allowances for them. |

I've stimulated a few peoples minds and spelling and grammar are a weak point of mine. Neither have anything to do with someones mind, character or imagination. I also suspect that there are many people who could turn the OP on who can't spell or punctuate badly.What do you do OP in that situation ? |

I really just cant be bothered with anyone that thinks theyre a cut above everyone else...I've written many essays in my time...but as long as people generally know whats being talked about I cant see why a potential meetup with someone cant get to the face to face meet or telephone conversation.
Some of these grammar nazi's sound like those folk that pretend they cant understand a foreign accent speaking english. |

maybe its about time you change your prejudged mindset about people who get their spelling wrong then init. As people have pointed out, they could ve dislexic or even worse could be they were typing fast and didnt have time to go through their text to correct any misspellings. Errors in a sentence shouldnt be a basis to judge wether they are lazy or what they will be like in bed, thats like saying most of the uneducated and under priviledged have very low sex drive |

I think you should get of your high horse and re read what I actually said. I didn't say it was what I thought, I said it was what some do think. I'm well aware that some people maybe be dyslexic and have to put more effort in to getting their spelling and punctuation correct. I'm also well aware that that does not mean they are stupid.
The reason why I'm aware of these things is because I'm dyslexic myself. I didn't learn to read properly until I was over 11 and writing game even later.
Don't jump to speedy conclusions before you've actually read properly what a person has written. |

For as long as I can understand the information they are trying to pass through then it's really not a problem for me except when it happens too often. I do review my messages most times, but we all make mistakes sometimes (mostly autocorrect for me). |

It's missing a comma. I actually don't mind small mistakes it's more about those who don't make any effort at all.
As someone else pointed out, I'm sure that there are people who's grammar and spelling are very bad but could turn me on if we met. I have no doubt that would be the case but my original point is that I'm less likely to start conversing with someone who doesn't bother with making an effort on either.
It's at least generated some interesting conversation and debate. That's part of the reason the forum is here. |
