MOST African men (not all), straight outa Africa, don't have a clue how to treat women, I'm sorry just my opinion! plus certain cultures over there and stuff is crazy (like i said, not all parts just some), I was married to an affrican man for 8 year believe me I know. That's why I personally prefer Caribbean men. They know how to look after their lady. English or not. Background is background. Culture is culture

Having been to my fair share of BC specialty club nights i can say that that we prefer to play with guys with a Caribbean background. Fun and lively guys! Whereas at the same clubs we've found guys with an African background can be hard work to chat to. And just a bit odd. In the kind of just hanging around without saying anything then trying to grab a boob kind of way. Ya get me?

I think this may be more about cultural norms, and society and its expectations. I have had long chats with guys about this - whether a 'black' culture is matriarchal, as some are, and how this impacts on the treatment of women (I have my opinions on this), but may also be to do with how the individual (and this goes for men/women of any colour/class) takes on the 'norms' of the society they live in (or section of that society). I find some black men have interesting perspectives on the white women they desire, but those who live within the communities, are somewhat different and more real (ie its not taboo/forbidden fruit). I have a similar dilemma for my children in terms of what nationality on those darned official forms, African American just doesn't appear too often on them ....

What an ignorant, offensive post, first off Africa is a continent not a country so an Ethiopian looks completely different to a Nigerian even though they're both Africans.

Your post and replies clearly shows how racism and devide and rule still work by categorising people based on colour.

May I suggest you listen to a song called "Africans" by Peter Tosh I think he summed it up perfectly

I understand that some people have visual preferences, i.e. some like black guys, so if you have an attraction to the photo or what they look like in a club, and you then start speaking to them as individuals, isn't it just that? If you like them as individuals?

I haven't met all of them, but I'm pretty sure that there are some great people from Africa and from the Caribbean, and I'm also pretty sure there are some right muppets too. What if someone has one parent from Africa, and one parent from the Caribbean? Also not all people from either place are black, and black people also come from other places in the world to, so all of these generalisations dont really help.

There is nationality, culture and identity.

I am British as my nationality and culture. But I identify myself as Latino.

But where I'm born can drastically change my culture and mannerisms. It doesn't change the way I look or what blood I have in my veins. Environment, your peers or other factors makes difference.

So there can be a difference by a continent or even a country or a county.

You tend to get back for saying something offensive.....

What you have said is at best idiotic....

As you are Asian, if I said people from India, or Pakistan, or Bangladesh, or Sri Lanka, or Nepal, .... And then lumped them with China, Japan, Korea,..... And then lumped then with Vietnam, or Burma, or Thailand

And then basically said they are all the same, that's what you did with "africa"

Can you finally see why that would annoy some people?

It's all in the rhythm. Men from the Islands move to the rhythm of Marley, grind and slowly move their bodies. Men from the African continent bang to the beat of the drum like warriors!!

. My findings are flawed though,I've only had sex with one man from mid Africa who was black. I can't count the north and south Africans, they weren't black.

Swear down i love that name ' stevie wonder ' thinkin of changin my profile name to bob the stevie wonder now lol. Anyway son, sometimes in life we have to apply common sense and not generalise a country based on face value. Yeah sone jamaicans might have yelled out ' 50p ' to you, it doesnt mean they are begging for 50p,,, it might just mean they evaluating how much they wil pay if you allow them fuck your wife.

And ignorance really is bliss in your case seeing you taking a backwards perspective to view and understand my words, when one says you sellin your wifes pussy to bbc on your profile it could mean the act of promoting or selling her attributes to an appealing crowd ( in this case bbc ) on your profile.

There is only one way to sort this out once and for all...

We need a willing volunteer (preferably a woman),a judges panel, an African guy and a Caribbean guy.

Toss a coin for the starting end. Swap ends at half time. The woman and the panel then vote on pre-set criteria...

Not quite scientific...

Now if we could only find a willing volunteer...

The simple fact that the majority of people contributing to this thread are Caucasian and comments relate to "preferring" a certain race are colonial and somewhat sinister in my view.

The stereotyping of a race or sector of a community, reinforced with ancient here say and gossip, goes to show we live in a society where people are still used as a commodity.

But then here is also an assumption that just because someone is Caucasian they treat the 'black' population is a commodity - I don't think this is the case for some of us. I have mixed race children - I don't treat them as a commodity, and previous partners (black Americans) and black British (with Jamaican, currently Guyanese roots) - and I have lived in various different 'black communities' for many years. There is such a thing on here as 'inverse snobbery' and I don't think its okay to lump any of us into one group - even Caucasians ... that being said, I do get grumpy at the objectification of the black male ....

Or one person has said that each person is individual regardless of colour .

Upbringing has a lot to do with how people act and react

Do we really need to prove who has or hasn't got a colour bias....... Yet again ???

"Don't we all originate from the same place though

From memory the whole of the human race can be traced back to one woman. I think she was from Ethiopia...

....and her name was not Eve...... "

It probably wasn't during her life, but she's now known as Mitochondrial Eve

"The simple fact that the majority of people contributing to this thread are Caucasian and comments relate to "preferring" a certain race are colonial and somewhat sinister in my view.

The stereotyping of a race or sector of a community, reinforced with ancient here say and gossip, goes to show we live in a society where people are still used as a commodity."

Of course people are a commodity.

You go to a garage to get your car fixed because he has a skill you don't...

You are on a swingers site because you want a person with a vagina or a penis...

So people are commodities when you strip away all the pleasantries...

It'd be interesting to see how the forums would react if the same discussions were about Mancs, Liverpudlians, Geordies, Welsh or Scots and people actually said what they wanted rather than what they supposed was acceptable

Do you not think there is an inherent hypocrisy in your suggestion that if a Caucasian person thinks a certain thing about a certain race it is worse than another race doing it?

But then here is also an assumption that just because someone is Caucasian they treat the 'black' population is a commodity - I don't think this is the case for some of us. I have mixed race children - I don't treat them as a commodity, and previous partners (black Americans) and black British (with Jamaican, currently Guyanese roots) - and I have lived in various different 'black communities' for many years. There is such a thing on here as 'inverse snobbery' and I don't think its okay to lump any of us into one group - even Caucasians ... that being said, I do get grumpy at the objectification of the black male .... "

in the original post the language used is one of out of these who is the best with a basis towards a particular race. Your circumstances are seemingly different. I happen to objectify certain women but I don't make a distinction on their race.

It's fairly simple really.

Pretty much everyoneyou interact with is because you want something from them... It could be love, a skill or service or a sexual requirement...

Some women like black guys, some black guys like white woman. So when they meet up both are using the other to get what they want...

I agree with you on the attraction comment aand people should be able to be attracted to whomever they choose that is life! My point is the way in which some people ( not all) categorise certain sections of the community and purport to treat them as chattels. I find the OP to be just that in terms of stereotyping and intention.

You can be racist towards caucasians as well. Stereotyping them or putting them in one category is exactly as bad as doing it for any other race.

"In general i find im forced to choose even though parents born in uk. Cant just be black gotta be black african or carribean. "

I think this, and the one by Miss_tress, are the saddest posts on this thread. I have a mixed-race niece, I wonder if they'll invent a new category for her "Asian-lite"

The last time I filled in a form I just wrote 'British' as I normally do, but the lady came running after me saying I had to also tick a box for White British or Black British. I looked at her, then my arm, considered a crack about whether my freckles made me 'mixed', but ruled it out.

OP: Jamaicans make the best ginger cake and better bobsledders, Nigerians run the best lotteries, Kenyans make the best coffee (not that I drink coffee, I'm just going from that nice man on the telly), Moroccans sell the best...oh hang on, we're not allowed to talk about that are we

Besides, I doubt I could stereotype every single country in Africa

Finally, I think I may have ruined the YouTube link by imagining Jim Davidson saying it...
