Rubenesque Petition

Jump to: Newest in thread

By *ingle Beds Lass OP   Woman  over a year ago

Bedfordshire

So had a friend stay over on the weekend, and we decided we are both Rubenesque on body shape scale. We would like this to be on the drop down menu for body size/shape.

Can you all lend your support so I can ask the FAB owners for this selection based on high demand?!?!?!

Thank you please

Rubenesque (adj.)

Gotcha

Rubenesque

She is the familiar hourglass or pear-shaped woman of wide hips,an ample bust, plump cheeks, soft full lips, and a generally healthy profile of alluring curves and crevasses

No. No negativity regardless of slim or not so slim. I was told off this weekend for referring to my size as Fat pig and I have taken it on board and spreading the positivity.

I don't see the point.

Describe yourself however you like,in the most colourful way possible if it makes you feel better.

I read rubenesque

I see fat.

I'm not saying you can't be overweight and sexy.

I'm just saying we see what we see.

If you think you'd look great in a rubens painting thats great. Doesn't mean I'm going to fancy you any more than i do or don't already.

Curvaceous

Chiselled

Rotund

Plump

So if we are to have the shape description tick box.....do we also request personality, character and style tick boxes too....

PERSONALITY

Calm

Arrogant

Humble

Eccentric

Charismatic

STYLE

Flamboyant

Modest

Eclectic

Chic

How far do we go.....APPEARANCE is more than body shape - hair for instance ... Curly, straight, cropped or long.

I love character traits as it's not all visual for me .....

Clever

Generous

Flexible

Creative

Mysterious

Do we not say in our profile who we are... As long as we are honest with ourselves ... I put my size in my profile and have full body shots ... Visual is just part of it... Xx

It was pure selfish reasons that I wanted Rubenesque in the drop down menu. My friend described me as that and I liked it more than ample and felt it was more descriptive.

All descriptions give folk a more informed choice of what they may be looking for. It also may, just may, just stop many men on here relinquishing their testicular fortitude.

I don’t need testicular fortitude to decide whether the woman I'm looking at has described herself aptly. Thats for me to decide.

I could describe myself as incredibly fit on my profile.

You might see skinny. How I describe myself is irrelevant.

We see what we see.

How is Rubenesque vastly different to curvy or large?

I'm skinny if you look at my waist, large if you look at my legs, athletic if you look at my forearms and back and wasting away to nothing if you look at my chest and shoulders.

Can I have a new description too: fucking awkward

Curvy is not definitive. You can be slim and curvy , you can be big and curvy. Rubenesque just seems to be a tight description. My friend and I are both tall and proportionately big. Rubenesque is a description that seemed to be the perfect fit.

Of you want to be 'f'king awkward, you be that

Can we please add 'a bit podgy so don't look at my stomach if I'm on top' to the descriptors as well please so I don't have to agonise between ample, fabulous and curvy any more? Or just allow us to use our own words since you can't filter them in search parameters anyway?

Just had a nice message asking me why I have curvy on my profile. I also have my dress size so there can be no misunderstandings. Reubenesque would be a good description however the interpretation of any word that describes us is so subjective.

I am fat. I know that. I dont need to be told. I would rather not have any body shape descriptors but put down dress size instead or better still just a photo.

But that's fine - you'd probably see curvy and read fat. Or whatever other word chosen. Why is the assumption that the impetus behind people wanting more body type descriptions that they are trying to somehow fool other people into fancying them? I'd like more descriptors because I don't feel like any of the current crop suit me. It's not because I'm in denial about my weight or trying to make every bloke shag fat women.

but rubenesuqe means fat that's just the point, curvy is subjective as gone over a million times on the forum, I have no problem with the word fat, its descriptive, but when I did my profile I wanted something that stood out a bit more than fat, I think it's a lovely word

"I've always thought the word voluptuous was a good adjective to describe a more curvaceous sexy woman"

Voluptuous is fine. I just think we get too hung up on body shapes. If you fancy someone, their body shape becomes less relevant.

Thing is, I may be fat but I can change that more easily than someone can change their sniping personality.

Very true. Although a sniping personality won't lead to diabetes or coronary heart disease. Or even both!

To be perfectly honest though. You can't have rubenseque because it's sexist. All the other descriptive terms could be applied to either sex. Where as Ruben wasn't known for painting fat men.
