IIRC Courtney is American or has spent a considerable amount of time there
What she fails to recognise is that on Halloween in the UK it is traditional to dress kids in bin liners and drag them round rain sodden streets begging sweets (or ideally a couple quid) from strangers and posting dog shit thru the letterboxes of people who don't cough up.
It is not about fancy dress, parties, costumes, inflatable scary things and companies sticking a ghost on their packaging and charging an extra quid for it.
