I made a Christmas cake complete with a crazy themed decoration for the top. It's turned out pretty good and will be raffled off to raise funds to feed some hounds |

It's so lovely that people still do all these things
I've made my Christmas cards. And Apple Cinnamon candles to go with my apple things.
I have a wonderful apple tree and my best friend and I spent 2 whole days making apple jam, chutneys, a sauce and apple & blackberry gin.
We can't possibly guess which is likely to go down best |

Cranberry and orange oat cookies, gingerbread biscuits in various Xmassy shapes, and cranberry, apricot and orange chocolates.
I'm absolutely skint this year so people are getting the above instead of presents. |

"I'm working on some personal candles, I have 6 colours of wax made so far, just from tea lights and crayons always wanted to try that "
I'd recommend you melt down scented candles if you can, as my wax doesn't smell particularly nice, and fragrance is a nice part of a candle, especially if it's a gift |

Yes, I accidentally bought tiny little ones and I can only fit 3 cookies in, and no pretty ribbons around the top. |

Can you mix them with essential oils? I made moustache wax for the hubby once and added something because we used beeswax x |

Last year was my first Christmas in the UK and I kept seeing mince pies everywhere. I thought it sounded disgusting because I figured there must be mince meat in them.
It was strange finding out mince pies don't have mince in them. They still taste bloody gross though.

I quite like them but the gluten free ones are sadly lacking. |

I haven't tried it, though I know you can buy specially made scent blocks for wax, though they look like they might change the colour.
Why not experiment with a small amount and see how it goes? |

A 5ft by 4ft crochet blanket made from 80 6 inch squares which each took about 45 minutes each and then sewn the lot together. Now on round 2 of a 4 round border and then the bloody thing will be finished and my mother better like it!! |

I've made two mohair scarves (never again mohair is a nightmare to work with!), two mohair (ditto) ponchos, Christmas cakes and cranberry and orange relish. I'm crocheting my little fingers off on three blankets for gifts and I still need to make a shawl and some flavoured gins and some star decorations. |
