Have coffee with me
No seriously depends on what your thing is its so diverse!
Museums wise, theres manchester museum, museum of science and industry and the national football museum. Theres loads of live band clubs and pubs.
Depending on time of year the outdoor cinema. If your not afraid of heights go to the hiltom deansgate and look down from the glass floor.
Northern quarter for food and great indie bars. Deansgate is the posher bit xx

Loads to do, depends what you want to be honest.
Plenty of good places to eat and drink, good shopping (so I'm told), loads to visit, and some good clubs...
Oh and some lovely people... |

Get yourself a day ticket for the trams, the best way to get out and about
As Vara said, there are plenty of museums if that tickles your fancy - MoMA (modern art); science and industry etc.
Drinks along Canal Street can be an entertaining evening too |

I get you!! I've lived here all my life - rather protective of little Manchester. I'm only about 15/20 mins from Salford (I don't really live on the moon) |

Maybe Vara, Bladie, Potato Head and I all meet you for some food in China Town or Media City - where we can grab a hamburger and beer.....or great steak and red wine - so many restaurants in the media area...
Speaking of media city.... You have the Lowry Gallery showing how he saw Manchrster and the North - (the largest display of his work in the world) and the War museum are excellent, a BBC tour (just book well in advance) or ticket to a show being produced there - Mastermind perhaps lol, (go to BBC website, register and tickets are free) or have a pic at BBC of you and doctor Who's Tardis or with gold Daleks.
As said before Hilton for view by having cocktails at Cloud 23 (see pics on my page - amazing cocktails with candy floss on top representing steam) however i usually go to Elixirs and order a birdcage of cocktails - smoke sparklers and 8 cocktails to drink or share.
John Ruland Library is a must - they even have a piece of what they think is the first bible discovered and currently original material on witches and what to do with them - really fascinating exhibits...of course the MOSI already mentioned fantastic engineering - steam engines
Pop to the Old Wellington and have a brew as oldest pub and even though reconstructed, the frame and history are interesting and just behind that is Manchester Cathedral - a medieval church with amazing new stain-glass and amazing history ....
Oh and one more thing go to Teacup - just fun cakes and great tea and atmosphere - can't book so go early and have a cuppa and pick a weird and wonderful cake .....
Or coffee /tea at mine with all of you and the Manchester contingent of Fourmnites .... We can have Aussie tea and lemmingtons ....

Some good ideas here. Especially as we live about 5m away and rarely go into town!
PrintWorks is a cinema bar complex, and a 5m walk to a swingers club; Amour - would make a great end to a night
When ever do go to Manchester we tend to finish off with normal friends in there, and then disappear to Amour for 'fun' |
