I understand that smoke alarms saves lives, but they are really annoying when cooking.

You've got the wrong type installed. Spend the money on a good photoelectric type and you don't get false alarms.

when my toast is yellow is goes off, but actually burn something and nothing goes off at all.

As another have said good ones don't go off with burnt food.

also shouldn't be in the kitchen

Was woken by a smoke alarm about 3am last July.... Well actually was woken by K giving me a dig in the ribs as I hadn't actually heard it.

It was a false alarm from another flat...but good to know it worked (though clearly not loud enough for me -thanks Kate!).

As a result, further Saunders have been added to the system as a number of other residents failed to wake!

Fire brigade only actually came when K called them....which again was ridiculous as the block is linked directly to the station!

It won't be linked direct to the station.

Some systems are linked to a third party who contact fire control.

most services will not send out pumps to afa's now . Unless it's confirmed a fire
