Has anyone ever been told that they look younger than their actual age?

Even though I'm 31, I've been told by my friends that I look like I'm in my early 20's which I always take as a compliment.

I think it is nice to be complimented about looking younger than your age. Don't you agree?

Apart from my grey hair I look younger and people generally think I'm mid to late 20's.

It has its advantages and disadvantages but I guess ultimately it's way better than looking very old for your age.

Bought alcohol from the supermarket 2 years ago and the check out woman carded me.

I don;t drive, have no photo ID (unless you count a passport, which I don't routinely carry to Tescos).

I have good days and not so good days.

One if the few benefits of being fat is that it tends to fill out the wrinkles, so I'm relatively wrinkle-free.

Goodness knows how that will go as I lose more weight though.

I'm 23 but as soon as I turned 17 people started thinking I was older and I rarely ever got asked for ID, like for e.g. When I was 19 people thought I was in my late twenties or early thirties and that was mainly at work. Nowadays it's still the same so most people who don't know me or my real age guess older and when I ask why they usually say it's the way I come across/act or my height or face etc which make them think that.

I do find people are surprised that I'm over 40, but I think it's the random hair colour that confuses them.

It can be really hard to judge ages.

I work with a gorgeous lady 10 years older than me who could pass for late 30s. Then again have met others a similar age to me that could easily be mistaken for my parents age.

I've always looked older than I am

I'm waiting for the day when my actual age catches up with my face!

From Mr D

Went shopping in a well known super market the other day with my step daughter who is 27 and the cashier thought we were an item, a compliment but also embarrassing

"On here I'm always told i look younger. In reality i think i just look my age.

I only said that to increase my chances of getting in your knickers.

I'm fully aware of that....I'm kinda with ruby here. I've never encountered that many people that don't look their age. In fact i see far more people that i think look older than their age. I think a lot of people are remembering what 40 year olds used to look like "

Nah, I know I don't have to give you any flannel to get in your pants

And if fully shaven (head and face) I'd be one of those that didn't look their age

I'm frequently told I look younger than my age. Not so much on here where I have no public face pic but in real life. I don't think it's an attempt at insincere flattery; I just think people generally are really shit at guessing ages. I always get it wrong when I guess other people's.

I think you look quite a bit younger.

People just tend to vary quite a lot so it's hard to get a decent gauge.

"I got ID'd recently for alcohol... "

I am beyond this but sometimes I look at them and ask why they didn't ID me.

They look so horrified till I start laughing

It really is hard! I think personally I have quite a baby face. When I was 17 I was asked my age...they had surmised I could be any age between 18 and 34!

People regularly think im 23/24 but I'm 30. Youngest someone thought I was is 17 at the age of 29!
