I'll give this another go but I'm not convinced. I thought some of the patisserie entries last week were very average for experienced chefs although I found the showpieces fascinating.

I'm not sure I'd say that given my results. I'm also not sure the heat of the kitchens and the knock on impact especially on the fridge / freezer temperatures is fully coming through on the show. Even if I can do a decent gateaux opera I wouldn't want to be doing this x |

While none of the layers is difficult on its own making it even when assembling is tricky. I wouldn't like to do it for a competition like this but then I'm not workimg at the Savoy either. Easy to be a bit critical I guess x |

"Loving this programme - the judges are so harsh!" That is right, they could be more relaxed I think. I like the centre peace they did there with the sugar twist on the cake.
The other team did the horns there, impressive, must be hard to do. |

Marks team 159
I liked the centre peaces with the bank and the animals they did there, the other one, tree of life was impressive too with the hook on top, the 3rd one was good too with all the chocklate on the totem pole. Marks team is the winners and through to the grand final with christophs team as a wild card.
