I'm an adult carer at the moment and I was washing a client's hair I thought man, I'd have love to have been a hairdresser in another life.
Anyone else have thoughts about doing something else if you could do it all again? |

Not exactly doing something else but I wish sometimes I had not taken redundancy from the army after doing 12 years. The payment was great and I'm still entitled to the full pension when I reach 55 but it would have been nice to do the 22. Still you cannot change the past. My ideal job now would be a photographer. I'm a keen amateur but should of taken it a bit more seriously several years ago. |

Absolutely. It would be great not to have to be a wage monkey.
Being a photographer would be an awesome job, but I guess it can be difficult to make it profitable. |

I've changed my job, career and direction 3 times in the last 10 years. People have always said I have commitment issues.
If I could spin a comfortable enough living from it, I'd love to write. |

Looking back I often think I should have just continued being a cleaner (I was a cleaner in NYC public schools to help pay for law school).
It's not thought provoking or anything, but I think I was happier in my job then. I was also in much better shape. The people I worked with were amazing - best people I've ever met.
But then there's the rose tinted glasses. I'm sure I'd have plenty to complain about if that were the path I took instead.
