If someone asks me a question, I give an honest answer. However I wouldn't be rude, if delivering unpopular news it's better to be clear and diplomatic.

You can tell the truth with out having to hurt the persons feelings , just depends on the way you position your answer .

I have always given honest answers to this and other question sometimes cause offence, but if you don't want an honest answer then don't ask the question

Same with the one do you like my hair ? Has got me in hot water a few times LoL
