Probably last year i will go in for the ballot after 6 years of not getting in. Best way for me to get in will be to knock 9 minutes off my Brighton marathon time and i get a good for age place.
My pet hate with the London marathon is people getting in through the ballot and then not doing the proper training needed to run a marathon.
Doesn't matter if you finish in 3 or 7 hours, at least put the effort and hours in to train for it or don't bother. A 7 hour finisher who has trained 5 days a week in all weathers deserves as much praise as a 3 hour finisher with more natural talent. |
