I've finished The Girl on a Train which I liked, not my best read though.
Anyone read or reading a good book at the mo, as want to buy a new one today.
I don't have a particular genre although dislike horrors.

Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum |
I recently read Driving Over Lemons, about a guy who moved to the Andalusian Mountains in Spain. It was a pleasant read.
I'm more of a historical fantasy/sci-fi nut so might not like the same as you like. |

I got a really good recommendation recently from someone in the forums - I can't remember his name anymore as he keeps changing it...
The series is called The Hyperion Cantos
I'm not through the series yet, but what I have read I like and Marc is going to read it with me now. |

A parrot in the pepper tree (the follow up) is pretty good escapism. I read it at work when I'm bored. |

Apparently he wrote a whole series of books. I'll treat myself one day. |

Just finished The Reader On The 6.27 by Jean-Paul DidierLaurent - fab, bonkers and sweet little book.
Reading Stasiland by Anna Funder - it is a GREAT read.
Struggling with The Cider House Rules which is bugging me as I love John Irving.
Highly recommend folk to read The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt - it is a marvel and a real masterclass in writing. |
