I like looking up and saving interesting and/or inspiring quotes, they can really brighten up a gloomy day so thought it could be fun to share one you find inspiring/witty/changed how you think/just generally like and maybe it'll help lift people having a rough day
One I like: "Life is never incomplete if it is an honorable one. At whatever point you leave life, if you leave it in the right way, it is whole.” - Seneca |

I've been reading quite a bit of Marcus Aurelius recently and he has some very inspiring quotes. I'd recommend people check him out of they're looking for inspiration...
It is not death that a man should fear, but he should fear never beginning to live.
Very little is needed to make a happy life; it is all within yourself in your way of thinking.
The object of life is not to be on the side of the majority, but to escape finding oneself in the ranks of the insane.
I have often wondered how it is that every man loves himself more than all the rest of men, but yet sets less value on his own opinion of himself than on the opinion of others.
Everything we hear is an opinion, not a fact. Everything we see is a perspective, not the truth. |

My land is bare of chattering folk; The clouds are low along the ridges, and sweet's the air with curly smoke from all my burning bridges. -Dorothy Parker
I wish I could drink like a lady. I can take one or two at the most. Three and I'm under the table. Four and I'm under the host. -Dorothy Parker
The first thing I do in the morning is brush my teeth and sharpen my tongue -Dorothy Parker
So many men... so little time -Mae West
When I'm good I'm very good, but when I'm bad I'm better -Mae West
The well-bred contradict other people. The wise contradict themselves. -Oscar Wilde
I like to think of my behavior in the sixties as a "learning experience." Then again, I like to think of anything stupid I've done as a "learning experience." It makes me feel less stupid. -P J O'Rourke
Some people are worried about the difference between right and wrong. I'm worried about the difference between wrong and fun. -P J O'Rourke
Here's what we can do to change the world, right now, to a better ride. Take all that money that we spend on weapons and defences each year and instead spend it feeding and clothing and educating the poor of the world, which it would many times over, not one human being excluded, and we could explore space, together, both inner and outer, forever, in peace. -Bill Hicks
I collect stars, but I keep them in the sky because I just don't have the space at home. -Warren Ellis
Everything will be alright in the end. If it isn't alright, it isn't the end. -Anon |

"The Cosmos is all that is or was or ever will be. Our feeblest contemplations of the Cosmos stir us -- there is a tingling in the spine, a catch in the voice, a faint sensation, as if a distant memory, of falling from a height. We know we are approaching the greatest of mysteries."
Carl Sagan
